Having Problems with “This Playlist is Not Eligible for iCloud” error message?

It you have recently turned on iTunes Match, you might be surprised to find that not all playlists upload to the cloud. Here is the problem and the solution:

1. Locate the Playlist that has a sad cloud face. This is iTunes way of saying that it is not uploaded to the cloud.

2. Locate any songs that have the duplicate cloud icon (two clouds joined together). Because the song is already in the cloud, iTunes is not going to upload it again, and therefore the whole playlist suffers as a result.

3. Click the cloud icon. You will be asked to keep or delete the duplicate.

4. Select Delete. You can add it again later.

5. You will be prompted to keep it or delete it from your iTunes library. Delete it from the itunes library.

6. The sad cloud face will go away when all duplicate songs are removed from the playlist. Then it will be uploaded and made available to all iDevices.
